Are you excited to try New Game Plus in Resident Evil Requiem? Another playthrough might be of interest to you, especially if you want relive the horrors of the Care Center and beyond. Our guide has all the details that you need, and we promise not to include major spoilers this time around.

Note: We’ve got a Resident Evil Requiem guides hub to help you fend off the infected and other ghoulish creatures.

New Game Plus and bonus content unlocks

You unlock New Game Plus in Resident Evil Requiem once you’ve beaten the campaign. Once you’re done watching the credits roll, you’ll be back at the main menu. You’ll notice that you’ve unlocked various goodies, including:

  • Insanity Mode is a high difficulty option for those who want to test their skills.
  • A behind-the-scenes video, concept art, and character model viewing.
  • The Jacket costume for Grace and Leon, as well as the Tactical Light skin for Leon’s Alligator Snapper weapon.
  • All hidden challenge requirements and bonus content should now appear.

Note 1: Special content in the game must be unlocked by spending challenge points. These include new weapons and cheats–i.e. infinite ammo, infinite Ink Ribbons, and the like. You can then activate these via the Bonus Content menu.

Note 2: Although Insanity Mode does become available, you can still select other difficulty options for your next playthrough.

Leon’s campaign in New Game Plus

The key difference here is that supply boxes tend to appear earlier and more regularly during Leon’s campaign sections. Supply boxes allow you to purchase weapons, ammo, and upgrades. These containers also have any bonus gear that you’ve unlocked via challenge points. Perhaps you want to run around the streets of Rhodes Hill while carrying a Rocket Launcher?

Likewise, you earn credits as soon as you control Leon early in the campaign. Tracking Modules appear in Rhodes Hill and the Care Center, too. These let you amass a lot of currency so you can buy more gear.

Grace’s campaign in New Game Plus

Grace’s segments are similar to your original playthrough. The key difference is, of course, with the difficulty mode that you select:

  • Casual and Standard (Modern) allow for unlimited manual saves.
  • Standard (Classic) and Insanity require Ink Ribbons if you want to do a manual save.

Just like Leon’s supply box, Grace can find bonus content in the item boxes that she comes across while exploring. You’re also likely to notice items that are meant for Leon once you regain control of him–i.e. Tracking Modules. Grace won’t be able to use these at all.

That does it for our Resident Evil Requiem New Game Plus guide. If you’re still on the lookout for collectibles and challenge points, you can head over to our Mr. Raccoon locations guide and challenges/bonus content guide. We also have an Insanity Mode guide if you want to test your mettle.

Veteran operative Leon Kennedy joins forces with FBI agent Grace Ashcroft for more nightmarish encounters against hordes of infected. If you want to survive the night, then we encourage you to check our Resident Evil Requiem guides hub.
