PlayStation has revealed the March batch of free games for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, and this month, there’s a great selection of action, JRPGs, and sports games to choose from. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 headlines the new arrivals, while Persona 5 fans are in for a treat as the best versions of that beloved Atlus game will be available to download. You can also embark on a nightmarish pilgrimage in Blasphemous 2, or if you’re in the mood for a retro release, the old-school fisticuffs of Tekken Dark Resurrection are a nostalgic blast from the past.
All of these games will be available to play starting March 17.
Don’t forget, all PS Plus members can claim four freebies–Slime Rancher 2, Monster Hunter Rise, PGA Tour 2K25, and The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road Collection–but you only have until April 6 to do so.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 (PS5)

A legacy sequel to a cult-classic, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was pretty much everything fans wanted from a follow-up to the 2011 game. Bigger, more brutal, and constantly fun to play as you flexed the power of the Ultramarines against hordes of Tyranids, Space Marine 2’s enjoyable single-player campaign was also complemented by co-op modes.
Persona 5 Royal (PS5, PS4)

A decade after Persona 5 was first released, the game is still considered to be one of the gold standards for the anime-inspired RPG franchise. Persona 5 Royal expands on it, polishing and fine-tuning the gameplay while also adding new characters, story threads, and missions to the game, creating the ultimate Persona 5 experience.
Persona 5 Royal: Ultimate Edition (PS5, PS4)

As if that wasn’t enough Persona 5 for you, you can also grab the Persona 5 Royal: Ultimate Edition. This includes the original Atlus JRPG, all of the extra content from Persona 5 Royal, and the Persona 5 Royal DLC Pack. That adds the Kasumi Costume Bundle, the Battle Bundle, and the Persona Bundle to the game.
Madden NFL 26 (PS5)

Madden NFL games seldom change between years, but last year’s entry in the series saw some major improvements on the field. With overhauled modes, a marked improvements in the visuals, and scores of gameplay improvements, Madden NFL 26 raised the bar for the franchise.
Metal Eden (PS5)

We’ve seen a new sub-genre of FPS games rise over the last couple of years, and Metal Eden is a great entry in this category if you’re looking for a fast-paced adrenaline rush of an action game. When the advanced Hyper Unit Aska is sent on a suicide mission to the monolithic city of Moebius, only an itchy trigger-finger, quick reflexes, and cybernetic upgrades will keep her from being eliminated by the army of mecha troops and elemental forces that guard the dystopian metropolis.
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria (PS5)

Lord of the Rings video games haven’t received a standing ovation in recent years, but at least The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria isn’t a repeat of the infamous Gollum game. Launching back in 2023 for PC, Return to Moria has earned a following online thanks to some post-launch work and it follows a company of dwarves during the Fourth Age of Middle-earth.
Astroneer (PS5, PS4)

Space exploration is the name of the game in Astroneer, as you’ll use special tools to dig, collect, and shape the planets around you. Not only can you manipulate the cosmic environment, you can also build on them, using the resources you’ve gathered to survive and thrive by constructing massive industrial bases in this creative sandbox.
Blasphemous 2 (PS5, PS4)

Building on the solid foundation of its predecessor, Blasphemous 2 saw the return of The Penitent One for a new–and endless–cycle of life, death, and resurrection. Once again stranded in a world full of demonic monsters and grotesque titans, Blasphemous 2 mixes metroidvania exploration with souls-like combat and a grim art direction.
Tekken Dark Resurrection (PS5, PS4)

PlayStation Plus Premium subscription required
Originally released for the PlayStation Portable in 2005, Tekken Dark Resurrection brought the arcade brawler to a new handheld audience back then. The game featured the same story as Tekken 5, added unique openings and endings for each character, and offered several modes like Tekken Dojo and Gold Rush.
