Massive Yokai creatures, a variety of supernatural combat, and potentially cooperative gameplay were all featured in a brand-new game from Capcom, revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a new original title from the creators of Resident Evil and Monster Hunter, which might remind you of another game from the publisher’s stable: Onimusha. Although not connected to the dormant franchise, Path of the Goddess certainly takes some visual inspiration from it, with otherworldly imagery mixed with feudal Japanese architecture. The gameplay leans into its surreal visual style well, with an assortment of grotesque creatures emerging from equally disturbing structures for you to cut down. Although unconfirmed, there’s an indication that this could feature cooperative gameplay, with multiple characters seen taking the fight to the Yokai.
