Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 players have discovered an Easter egg on one of the multiplayer maps, which is tied to the 3D printer feature found in the DMZ extraction mode. This secret printer lets players grab different gun builds mid-match, and these weapons are fully customized with attachments.

As previously discovered by Muggs1213 on Reddit, Modern Warfare 4’s Cachette multiplayer map contains one of DMZ’s 3D printers. In DMZ, this printer is used to craft essential gear and upgrades specific to the extraction mode, but in multiplayer this device offers random weapon blueprints.

Cachette’s 3D printer is easily overlooked, especially when you’re hot in the action, but it’s found upstairs in the map’s Armory point-of-interest. There is a weapon inside the 3D printer at the start of each match, and anyone can break the printer case open and retrieve the item inside.

So far, players have discovered random weapon builds for guns, such as the Sang 9MM pistol, the PPSH-41 submachine gun, Cronen Squall assault rifle, and the Mosin Nagant marksman rifle. These guns being offered are generally fully kitted five-attachment weapon builds.

This printer might only offer random weapon builds, but this is still a fun nod to Modern Warfare 4’s DMZ, and it can be helpful to new players who might not have many weapons or attachments unlocked.

Modern Warfare 4 launched on October 23, and the game’s first DLC is a Call of Duty Endowment (CODE) pack, with proceeds going to Activision’s charity that helps military veterans find new jobs after they leave the service.
