Fortnite’s very last new collaboration for this year’s Halloween season is with Predator: Badlands, and it includes the first Predator skin that’s ever been available outside the permanently locked Chapter 2 Season 5 battle pass. But the main attraction in this set may actually be the back bling, which is the top half of Thia, the Weyland-Yutani android, played by Elle Fanning, who spends most of the movie strapped to the protagonist’s back. The whole Predator: Badlands set hits the Fortnite shop on October 28 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET.

It’s exactly what fans of Dan Trachtenberg’s film have hoped for since the collab was first announced last month. We knew a new Yautja (the in-universe name for the Predator species) skin was on the way, but it wasn’t until the cosmetics were granted to content creators on Wednesday that we knew about the Thia back bling. In the film, a damaged Thia, torn in half on a hostile planet by a legendary alien beast called the Kalisk, teams up with a young Yautja called Dek in order to survive the monsters and other, more insidious threats that are hanging around the place.

Since Thia spends much of the movie on Dek’s back, she makes perfect sense to include as a back bling. Still, she’s an extremely unusual one–it’s only the second time we’ve had a human-shaped body as a back bling, after the similar C-3PO one from 2024, and it’s the one of only three back blings that use a real person’s likeness, after the Lil Tecca plushie and the Tyler the Creator doll.

The Thia back bling is tagged as being reactive, which means it should move or make some kind of noise in response to things you do during a match. But it may be bugged right now, because these cosmetics have already been granted to content creators, like PIZ0 and VALtheVAL, and it doesn’t seem to do anything in videos that those folks have posted so far.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 and the Fortnitemares event both wrap up on Halloween night, with the new One Piece-themed mini-season kicking off on Sunday, November 1.
