Epic Games is pulling an extremely surprising move to start Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, by mixing up the existing Battle Royale island so extensively that it feels like a totally new one. It’s a pretty unprecedented situation, but it’s also an exciting one, because we like new things.

The new island is called Shattered Coast, and it’s sort of a remix of the previous version of the Chapter 7 island, with most of the old POIs being remixed into something new, and the landscape between each spot being altered dramatically. For example, Battlewood is now Battlewoods, and has shifted from being a concrete urban landscape into a forest town. New Sanctuary has moved from being in the middle of the desert to being in a tropical paradise, similar to the environment around the old Sanctuary in Chapter 3.

We’ll expand this article once we’ve had the chance to dive into the Shattered Coast and explore it for ourselves in real depth, but for now you can enjoy this first glimpse at the makeovers that some of our favorite spots have received. Good news, though: As you’ll see below, Wonkeeland hasn’t changed much at all. Though everything around it certainly has.

Some of the locations in these images are tough to pinpoint, but you’ll at least see the new versions of Squibbly Shores, Latte Landing, Sandy Strip, New Sanctuary, and Battlewood.
