Rockstar boss Aaron Garbut said in an interview that a developer might compromise scale for detail or detail for interaction “but not with this project.”

“We went the other way,” he told Game Informer. “Everything is dialed up–detail, scope, breadth, scale, interaction, and density.” He went on to say Rockstar has never “created anything close to this before.”

“As the pressure for us on this project is huge, we dealt with that by doing our best to overdeliver,” Garbut said.

GTA 6 launches on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game has reportedly already sold close to 6 million copies, generating more than $570 million in pre-sales.
