Are you curious about how to light torches and lanterns in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales? You’ll see these objects as you explore the game world, but you have to meet a mysterious companion before you can interact with them. Fret not, because we’ve got all the info that you need in our guide.

Lightning torches and lanterns with the help of Faie in The Adventures of Elliot

You need to meet a fairy companion named Faie if you want to light lanterns in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. We don’t want to spoil all the details, but here’s what you can expect:

  • Continue through the campaign by tackling main objectives in the Age of Reconstruction, which happens to involve finding and unlocking Bombs, too.
  • Eventually, you’ll face a boss, who’ll end up trouncing Elliot in battle. Once Elliot regains consciousness, he’ll have Faie as a companion by his side.
  • Your next goal is to return to the town of Littlehope, which is quite a long distance away. Follow the path and go through shortcuts from Westerea onward.
  • Your trek will take you to the Shrine of the Mystic – Ignite, which is due south of the swamps.
Make your way to the Shrine of Mystic – Ignite near the swamplands.

Shrine of the Mystic – Ignite challenges

The Shrine of the Mystic lets you unlock one of Faie’s abilities in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. This ability, Ignite, causes your fairy pal to burst into flame while fluttering around. In any case, there are three rooms in this shrine:

  • Room 1: Light the two torches.
  • Room 2: Light all the torches as you walk across the ledges.
  • Room 3: Defeat the enemies and light the four lanterns. Try to avoid the freezing turret in the middle.
Complete the tasks in each room to unlock the Ignite ability permanently.

Everything else that you need to know about Faie’s abilities

Here’s what you need to keep in mind once you’ve unlocked Faie’s Ignite ability:

  • Ignite can be used to light lanterns, which then open a pathway.
  • Faie can also fly through enemies while the effect is active. This inflicts the burning debuff on hostiles.
  • Ignite is effective against frozen targets, and it can be used to trigger Bomb explosions.
  • Keep your eyes peeled for Shrines of the Mystic in other locations. These grant new abilities for Elliot and Faie, including a speed boost, vacuum pull effect, and even teleportation. More advanced shrines provide boosts for abilities that you’ve already unlocked.
  • Lastly, you can play various minigames based on Faie’s abilities via the menu. These reward you with records based on your high score.
Try out different minigames based on Faie’s abilities.

That does it for our guide on how to light torches and lanterns in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. Now that you have a mystical companion, you might be curious as to how you could gain more Magicite Fragments, too.
